    1. A mobile e-sim (maybe not required if you’re looking to ‘switch-off’).

    2. A multi-currency debit card, e.g. Wise or Revolut.

    3. A spare outfit in my hand luggage (just in case).

    1. The harder to reach places are always worth it - so don’t rule out a destination or hotel based on ease of access.

    2. Stop worrying about the weather. Shoulder and low seasons are often now the best times to travel.

    3. Trust local advice and avoid those instagram hotspots.
