February

The month to embrace winter or search for sun...

Mexico

Mexico really does have it all & February is the perfect month to experience the country’s diversity.

From Baja’s sun-soaked beaches and surf breaks, to Mexico City’s vibrant streets and renowned arts scene. The Yucatán peninsula is home to turquoise coasts, ancient Mayan ruins and cenote dips - we love plotting road-trips from Holbox to Tulum, including a stop at our favourite stay; Hotel Essencia.

A destination made for food lovers, it’s hard to go wrong anywhere in a country where street-food vendors bring as much joy to your taste buds as world-class Michelin-starred restaurants do. That said, Oaxaca is a foodies paradise, as are Roma Norte & Roma Sur neighbourhoods in Mexico City.

Antartica

February is peak summer in Antarctica, making it ideal for a luxury expedition cruise through the 7th continent.

With the opportunity to experience some of the most unique wildlife encounters and landscapes on the planet, it’s the perfect time to reap the rewards of this 'once in a lifetime' destination. All while benefitting from long days and clear skies.

For guests looking to experience a side of Antartica that even fewer people get to visit, embarking on a luxury land expedition with White Desert could be the adventure of all adventures.

Philippines

The dry season peaks in February, offering endless sunny days across an archipelago of over 7,000 islands. It is the perfect month for navigating the Philippines’ famous turquoise waters - providing the calmest seas and clearest visibility for snorkelling and diving adventures.

While the powdery white sands of Boracay and the dramatic limestone lagoons of Palawan are viewed as the ‘classic’ islands, we also love the raw, slow-travel energy of Siargao.

Our pick for an unforgettable stay is Amanpulo on Pamalican Island - a private-island dream where every view depicts a postcard and the service is on another level.

Rwanda

The dry skies of February make it an excellent month to visit Rwanda before the peak-season crowds arrive in June to September.

Gorilla trekking in Volcanoes National Park is virtually guaranteed, offering a true bucket-list experience for any wildlife lover. Trust us when we say the misty morning drive from Singita Kwitonda to the trekking headquarters will become a core memory, and the best 5am wake-up call of your life.

While the main draw here is undoubtedly Primate encounters, the landscapes, history and warmth of the Rwandan people will make a visit to here all the more special.

Switzerland

February is prime ski season in the Swiss Alps, when the slopes are at their best with reliable fresh powder and crisp, bluebird days. It is the definitive time for those seeking the quintessential winter escape - think snow-covered panoramas, world-class runs, and the undeniable glamour of Switzerland’s most iconic alpine villages.

Whether you’re navigating the vast, high-altitude terrain of Zermatt under the shadow of the Matterhorn or soaking up the "jet-set" energy of St. Moritz, it’s a masterclass in winter elegance. For a stay that matches the scale of the landscape, we love the chic, "ski-in, ski-out" luxury of Chedi Andermatt or the timeless, fairy-tale grandeur of Gstaad Palace.
